Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
DrivingFootage.com ("we", "us", "our") is a small, family-run business based in Valencia, California. We license 4K driving footage for film, television, advertising, and AI and machine learning. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you email us, call us, or request a quote or license, we receive your name, email address, phone number, company, job title and the details of your request.
Business contact information. To tell productions and companies about our library, we compile business contact details (such as name, job title, company and work email address) from publicly available sources, including company websites, film commission and industry directories, and published production listings.
Website usage information. Our website uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, time on site, referring websites, approximate location (city or region), browser and device type. This helps us understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics does not give us your name or email address.
Purchase information. When you license footage, we keep records of the transaction, such as what was licensed, invoices and billing contact details. Payments made through third-party platforms or marketplaces are handled by those platforms under their own privacy policies; we do not store your full card details.
2. How we use your information
- To answer your questions, send quotes, deliver footage and provide customer support
- To manage licenses, invoices and our business records
- To send occasional business emails about our footage library and services to people who may find them relevant
- To understand and improve our website
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
3. Business emails and opting out
If you receive an email from us and would prefer not to hear from us again, reply with "STOP" or email info@drivingfootage.com with the subject "STOP". We will add your address to our do-not-contact list and won't email you again about our services.
4. Our footage library
Our library is footage of public roads, filmed by our own team from a vehicle in the United States and Canada. People, vehicles and license plates may appear incidentally in the background, as in any street-level footage, but no individual is the subject of a shot. We do not identify, tag or link anyone appearing in the footage to their identity, and our metadata describes places and conditions (such as location, time of day and scene type), never people. If you believe you appear in our footage and have a concern, please contact us and we will review it.
5. Sharing your information
We share personal information only when needed to run our business:
- Service providers that help us operate, such as our email and web hosting providers, Google Analytics, cloud storage and delivery services, and accountants. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Marketplaces and platforms where you choose to buy or request our footage, which handle your information under their own policies.
- Legal reasons, if required by law or to protect our rights.
6. Cookies and Google Analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To learn how Google uses this data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
7. How long we keep information
We keep business correspondence and license records for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and tax requirements. We keep addresses on our do-not-contact list indefinitely so that we can honor your request. You can ask us to delete other information at any time.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you
- correct or delete it
- stop sending you business emails
Depending on where you live (for example California, Canada or the European Union), you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Email us at info@drivingfootage.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including password-protected accounts and reputable hosting and email providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
10. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
